A professional writer, photographer and publicist for more than 25-years, Michael Baxter has worked with national and regional publications such as The Houston Chronicle, Atlanta Magazine, That Texas Magazine, Luxury Log Homes & Timber Frame, Aquatics International Magazine, 104/KRBE Radio's "ZONE", Bluegrass Unlimited and Friends Magazine.

In addition to his regular editorial assignments, Michael Baxter has coordinated brochures, press releases and other projects for businesses such as Six Flags AstroWorld, SplashTown Waterpark, Space Center Houston, and The Port of Galveston. He has also worked with sports network, ESPN.

Having been associated with live music for many years, Baxter has developed strong relationships with entertainers and the media sources for promoting them. Texas honky-tonk Country Music performers Miss Leslie & Her Juke-Jointers, Louisiana's first family of Swamp Pop and Rock, L'Angelus, Lone Star singer/songwriter Kyle Hutton, and Cajun rockers Bayou Roux are clients to use Michael Baxter for their publicity and promotional needs.

From Galveston to Savannah, and Dauphin Island, Alabama, Baxter continues to provide professional assistance to small and medium sized vacation fun spots. The creation and placement of destination features, event consulting, on-site photography and increasing client awareness on the Internet are a few of his many talents.

Michael Baxter is a Journalism grad from Georgia State University - Atlanta, and has spent more than 25-years in tourism and entertainment marketing for some of the most well known attractions in America. He served for eight years on the Executive Committee of the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, is immediate Past President of the Great Northwest Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau, and serves on the Board of the Texas Festivals & Events Association.
